For industrial use, a method for cultivating Reishi on sawdust was developed, during the year it allowed to obtain about 100 tons of the fruiting body of the fungus. The extract is obtained by water extraction from dried crushed raw materials, followed by concentration, purification and drying. Fruit bodies and mycelium of G. lucidum contain carbohydrates (reducing sugars and polysaccharides), amino acids, peptides, triterpenes, including steroid triterpenes, lipids, glycosides, vitamins, and minerals. The most important biologically active compounds isolated from this fungus are polysaccharides and triterpenes.
